GAY PRIDE CRUISE ELECTRIC !

Another demonstration of the versatility of electric boats discovered by one of our team at polyboatglobal.com is Amsterdam Gay Pride. On August 2^nd, hundreds and thousands of cisgender people, gay men, lesbian women, transgender people and every other person from the LGBTQI+ lined the canal banks and bridges while about 80 vibrantly decorated boats, many of them electric, cruised through the canals transforming the Dutch city into a spectacular display of colour, music, and activism. This year’s theme, “All About Love”, struck a powerful chord with participants and onlookers alike. Despite occasional showers and mild summer temperatures, the atmosphere remained electric. In 1996 when the parade was held, nearly all the boats which took part were fossil-fuelled. Now in its 27th year, by municipal decree, the Amsterdam fleet is almost all electric. Nowhere else in the world will you find a festival comparable.
